Life is Like a Computer
A single computer involves lots of processes before it was formed. Before,
computers were made by simple materials unlike the modern ones which were
formed by complex materials. As days, weeks, months and years pass, computers
became better and better. Like life, it contains or consists of several
processes before it reaches its ultimate goal. These goals include happiness,
completion, and the achievement of dreams. Also, there are stages that we need
to undergo to achieve those goals, just like a computer. Infancy, childhood,
adolescence, and adulthood: are the stages that we need to go through to
fulfill those goals in life. In infancy, we were born with an innocence that
makes us capable of developing one self into childhood. In childhood, we slowly
start to understand the things around us. As we play with others, we develop ourselves
and further explore the real world. Similarly, we need to explore the programs
in the computer so that we will be used to it, adapt and utilize it to our
means. In adolescence, we start to become mature. In this stage we become mature
because of the environment where we belong and also because of the challenges
we are facing. Lastly, in adulthood we are able now to solve problems with the
help of the people surrounding us. Like a computer, with the right programs and
accessories, can solve its problems on its own and sometimes with the aid of
human intervention. However, life would not be that perfect without the
presence of problems and challenges as well. To a computer, these problems or
challenges are called viruses. For us to be able to remove those viruses we
need to get help from anti-virus programs. In life we seek help from our love
ones and friends as well.
From the things mentioned above,
can we really say that life is like a computer? For me, yes. We are shaped and
fashioned by life, just as a computer is shaped and fashioned by its programs
and users also. There are some differences, but a lot of similarities between
the two. However, still, we can really say that life is like a computer.
